David M. Atkins, DC

Dr. David M. Atkins earned his chiropractic degree from Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri. He began his practice in 2006 in Jacksonville, Illinois, and spent the first decade of his career working in multiple offices throughout central Illinois. These early years allowed him to gain experience with a variety of techniques and patient needs.

In February 2024, Dr. Atkins opened his full-time practice in Chillicothe, Missouri, where he now serves patients of all ages. He has continued his education with a special focus on pediatric and maternal care, cranial release, fascial release, and headache protocols. His approach also integrates nutritional support through the use of Standard Process supplements and advanced methods such as energy meridian balancing.

What We Do Differently

At our clinic, we go beyond traditional chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Atkins uses a specialized method called CPK (Chiro Plus Kinesiology), a unique approach that enhances and speeds up the process of analyzing the body. CPK brings together several healing techniques, including:

Applied Kinesiology
Clinical Kinesiology
Autonomic Response Technique
Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT)
Acupuncture Meridian System/energy meridian balancing

By integrating these methods, CPK allows for a more comprehensive evaluation and treatment, helping patients experience more effective and efficient care. Our goal is to tailor each visit to the individual, supporting both immediate relief and long-term wellness.

Services & Pricing

We are a cash-based practice and do not bill insurance directly. Payment is accepted by cash, check, or credit card (credit cards include a small processing fee). Upon request, we can provide a Superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Initial Exam: 1 hour, includes adjustment, $120
Follow-up Adjustments: 15 minutes, $50
Nutritional Evaluation: 15 minutes, $50
Energy Balancing: 15 minutes, $50
